1. Transfer the transmission lever to neutral situation. Having made moderate effort for the lever of the emergency brake, count the number of clicks of a full speed of the lever. If the number of clicks does not meet standard, then the emergency brake should be adjusted. |
2. Check operation of the emergency brake, having installed the car on a steep slope. If the car rolls down, then adjust the emergency brake. The order of adjustment is described in subsection 8.13. |
3. On cars with back disk brakes the emergency brake should be checked annually. For this purpose lift the car and remove back wheels and disks of brakes (see subsection 8.5), take aside and record supports. |

4. Check thickness of blocks of the emergency brake (it is specified by shooters), which as a rule wear out only at the wrong adjustment. If thickness of slips is less than 0,8 mm, then blocks are recommended to be replaced. Check a condition of the regulator and springs. |
