2.6. Check of a condition of tires and pressure in tires

GENERAL INFORMATION

Characteristic type of the drawing of a protector at abnormal wear of tires

1. Insufficient pressure in the tire
2. Uneven wear because of violation of angles of installation of forward wheels
3. The increased side wear of a protector
4. Elevated pressure in tires
5. Cross angular wear of a protector (violation of angles of installation of wheels)

Reasons and ways of elimination:

Check pressure and restore to normal.
Balancing violation, deformation of a disk – to balance a wheel and to replace a disk.
Or in drafts – to repair wear or the raised side play in the pendular lever.
To repair or replace suspension bracket details.

On a condition of tires it is possible to obtain important information on a condition of a suspension bracket and steering still before serious damage is found.
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Wear of tires can be checked by means of the protector depth indicator. In tires the special bandage which becomes visible with a residual depth of a protector 1,6 mm is built in.
2. You monitor the drawing of a protector of tires (see rice. A characteristic type of the drawing of a protector at abnormal wear of tires). The evident signs of uneven wear of a protector specified in pictures indicate adjustments of angles of installation or balancing of wheels the need. At detection of a deviation of wear of tires from normal it is necessary to hand over the car in car service.
3. Regularly check tires, you monitor emergence of damages to a type of cuts or swellings, delete the stones or sharp objects which got stuck in a protector. If weak pressure decrease in tires is observed, then check tightness of the gate for a rating.
4. If there is a suspicion on the fact that the tire is punctured, then check the place of a possible puncture by means of soap solution. Lift the car from the lowered wheel and, turning a wheel, an obmylta its solution. In case of leak formation of bubbles will be observed.
5. Carefully check the internal side surfaces of tires, you monitor emergence of traces of dribble of brake fluid on them.
6. Periodically check and support pressure in tires.
7. Pressure is checked on cold tires. The term "cold" means that in 3 hours prior to measurement of pressure the car made one trip on distance of 1,5 km.
8. Turn off a gate cap (it is located on the tire or under a wheel cap) and densely press the manometer to the gate. Consider indications of the manometer and compare with standard (it is specified on the plate of the manufacturer strengthened on an aperture rack from the driver). If necessary restore pressure to norm.
9. Keep in mind that pressure in a compact spare wheel is much higher than pressure in regular tires.
