2.22. Check and lubricant of the exhaust valve

GENERAL INFORMATION

On a part of cars the exhaust valve which is mounted on a joint of an exhaust pipe and a collector is provided. On the cold engine the valve redirects a stream of exhaust gases to the soaking-up collector owing to what evaporation of fuel and smoothness of operation of the engine at small speeds of the movement improve.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

	1. On the cold engine check freedom of movement of the lever of the drive. At the complicated movement grease an axis with special refractory lubricant.
2. Start the engine and you watch a counterbalance of the valve which at start has to move to a closed position and in process of warming up gradually to be slightly opened. It is also possible to designate a closed position and after a short trip to check opening of the valve.
