GENERAL INFORMATION

The chart for check of the main switch of the electric drive of a window regulator on the FJ60, 62 cars and designation of contacts of the socket

The chart for check of the switch of the electric drive of a window regulator of all windows except driver's on the FJ60, 62 cars and designation of contacts of the socket

Provisions on the switch (Up – up, Off – off, Down – down). Replace the switch if short circuit of contacts does not correspond to the chart.

The electric drive of a window regulator provides rise and lowering of side windows. Switches, the relay, electric motors, a window regulator and wires are its part.

The electric drive turns on or the main switch on the driver's door, or remote switches on each of doors. Lowering or rise are regulated by the provision of each of switches. In each door the reversive electric motor is mounted.

The chain of the electric drive is protected by a safety lock and a breaker. In each electric motor the individual breaker that at failure of one drive drives of other windows were not switched-off is in addition mounted.

The electric drive of a window regulator works only at the included ignition. On the most part of cars the blocking switch which switches-off electric drives of other windows except driver's is provided (on a part of cars only of back windows).

Below the general procedures of search of malfunctions which can be executed independently are described. If malfunction with their help cannot be eliminated, then address to car service.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If window regulators of all windows do not work, then at first check a safety lock and a breaker.
2. If window regulators only of back windows do not work, or the drive works only from the main switch, then check short circuit of contacts of the blocking switch. If contacts do not become isolated, then replace the switch.
3. Check a condition of conducting between switches and a safety lock, if necessary repair.
4. If only one window regulator does not work, then check the main switch and the switch of an idle window (except driver's).
5. If the window regulator works only from one switch, then check short circuit of contacts of the switch according to the enclosed scheme. If results of check negative, then the switch replace.
6. If the switch is serviceable, then check a chain between the switch and the electric motor.
7. If from both switches the same window regulator does not work, then remove the panel, include a window regulator and check tension on the switch and the electric motor.
8. If tension is present at the electric motor, then disconnect glass from a window regulator and check freedom of its movement up and down. Check also freedom of movement of a window regulator. If damages are absent and glass moves freely, then replace the electric motor. Otherwise grease details or replace.
9. If tension on the electric motor is absent, then check wires from switches to electric motors. If the relay is provided in a chain, then check presence of tension for the relay and its connection with weight.
10. Upon termination of check work of a window regulator.
