Removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift the car and remove back wheels.
2. Remove a half shaft.
3. Unscrew lock screws.
4. Turn off a lock-nut.
5. Remove a lock ring.
6. Displace a nave, having given on themselves, then press and remove the external bearing.
7. Get a nave and put on a pure surface so that the internal bearing was turned up.
8. Remove an epiploon from a nave.
9. Get the internal bearing.
10. Wash out and dry bearings, a nave and a casing of the bridge.
11. Check a condition of bearings, existence on them of cracks, damages and wear tracks.
12. Check a condition of hairpins, flanges of the bridge and shlits of a nave.
13. Check existence of hollows and wear on holders and rollers of bearings.
14. Replace worn-out details.
15. Beat out holders of bearings a brass mandrel and press new.
16. Grease bearings and contact surfaces of a casing of a half shaft.
17. Lubricant has to come into cavities between rollers and a separator of the bearing.
18. Install the internal bearing and an epiploon.
19. Sponges of an epiploon have to be turned in a nave.
20. Press an epiploon so that it appeared aflush with a nave.
21. Oil an epiploon gearbox or jellied lubricant.
22. Establish a nave, install the external bearing in a nave.
23. Establish a ring and wrap a lock-nut.
24. Adjust the bearing.

Adjustment

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the brake drum and fix by two wheel nuts.
2. Tighten a lock-nut with m 52 N.' moment, at the same time rotating a nave.
3. Turn off a lock-nut that it could rotate by hand.
4. By means of a dynamometer check the moment of resistance to a nave provorachivaniye.
5. Gradually tightening a lock-nut, achieve that the moment of resistance to a provorachivaniye (a preliminary tightness in bearings) corresponded specified in subsection 7.4.
6. Wrap oppositely lock screws.
7. Check freedom of rotation and a side play of a nave.
8. If the side play did not disappear, then repeat subitem 1-5, achieve disappearance of a side play.
9. Establish a half shaft, a wheel and lower the car.
