3.1.10. Pushers

GENERAL INFORMATION

The worn-out pusher (or a cam-shaft cam) is the reason of "tick" during the operation of the engine, it can be determined idling by listening through a hose piece, or by knock change, having put wooden whetstone to the working yoke at uncovered a head of cylinders.

If noise is shown distinctly, then it is necessary to replace a cam-shaft and pushers.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Uncover a head of cylinders.
2. Remove a yoke with the roller and get a bar in that cylinder in which work of a pusher is followed by abnormal noise.
3. Remove a side cover and get a pusher(s).
4. You store pushers as their installation.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Serially wash out pushers.
2. Check wear of a persistent surface of a pusher, saddle of a bar and a condition of a side surface. Replace pushers if on a persistent surface the navolakivaniye of metal, scratch or the increased concavity are observed.
3. The persistent surface of a pusher has concavity with a big radius of curvature (on a photo check of concavity of a persistent surface of a pusher is shown at the left). If the persistent surface is strongly worn-out (a photo on the right), then the cam-shaft and pushers should be replaced. If the side surface (that is improbable), then check a condition of openings in the block of cylinders is worn-out. Check a condition of saddles of bars and end faces of bars.
4. The cam-shaft and pushers change only together. Put the removed pushers on former places.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Grease pushers with molybdenic lubricant.
2. Oil openings in the block of cylinders for the engine.
3. Establish pushers into place.
4. Establish other removed details upside-down.
