5.2.9.2.4. Valve of the regulator of turns of idling

GENERAL INFORMATION

The valve of the regulator of turns of idling (the ISC valve, on cars of 1988-92) or the control air valve of idling (the IAC valve, on cars since 1993).
Prevention

Turns of idling of the engine are established by the manufacturer and at operation in normal conditions of their adjustment it is not required. However, if replacement of the camera of a butterfly valve was made or there are suspicions on the fact that adjustment of turns of idling was broken (for example, the screw of idling was turned out from the camera of a butterfly valve), then the car should be handed over in car service.


Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. At switching off of ignition the valve of the regulator of turns of idling (ISC valve) has to publish click.
2. Disconnect the ISC valve socket.
3. Give a crossing point tension on conclusions of B1 and B2. Connect conclusions of S1 and S2, then S3 and S4 to weight. The plunger of the valve has to move forward, i.e. the valve has to be closed.
4. Give a crossing point tension on conclusions of B1 and B2. Connect conclusions of S3 and S4, then S1 and S2 to weight. The plunger of the valve has to be involved, i.e. the valve has to open.
5. If the valve does not work, then replace it.
6. Check resistance between conclusions of B1 and S1, B1 and S3, then between conclusions of B2 and S2, B2 and S4. Compare results with specified in specifications (see subsection 5.2.1).
7. If it is normal of resistance, then the valve is serviceable (in this case it is necessary to look for malfunction in conducting from the ECM block).
8. If resistance differs from standard, then replace the valve.
9. Attach the socket.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If access to screws is complicated, then remove the gate case.
2. Unscrew fastening screws (are specified by shooters) the ISC valve (or the IAC valve) to the case of the gate and remove the valve.
3. When replacing the valve install the thermal vacuum TVV valve removed from the replaced ISC valve, and replace laying.
4. Installation is carried out upside-down.
