4.8. Liquid temperature sensor

GENERAL INFORMATION

Location of the sensor of temperature on the engine 3F-E

1. Screen wiper electric motor
2. Sensor of level of brake fluid
3. Electric motor of a cleaner of headlights
4. Datchki of liquid temperature
5. Oil pressure sensor

Location of the sensor of temperature on the engine 1FZ-FE

1. Sensor of level of brake fluid
2. Relay block
3. Liquid temperature sensor
4. Oil pressure sensor

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If the index does not register temperature, then check safety locks.
2. If the sensor shows a condition of "Hot" ("hot") right after launch of the cold engine, then disconnect a wire from the sensor.
3. If the indication falls, then replace the sensor.
4. If the indication remains overestimated, then can be the reasons short circuit on the mass of a wire of the sensor, or malfunction of the index. On the engine 3F-E the sensor is located under the thermostat.
5. If the sensor ceases to show temperature after full warming up of the engine (about 10 minutes later after start-up), and safety locks are serviceable, then arrive as follows.
6. Stop the engine, disconnect a wire from the sensor and a piece of a wire close a sensor wire on well cleared site of the engine.
7. Include for a short time ignition but do not start the engine.
8. If the index shows "Hot" now, then replace the sensor.
9. If indications of the sensor are absent, then the break in chains, or malfunction of the sensor can be the cause (see subsection 11.1).

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire from the sensor.
2. Turn out the sensor and turn new, reliably tighten. Not to use sealant.
3. Attach a wire.
4. Fill in liquid, check indications of the sensor.
