3.4.5. Ignition coil

Check
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the battery from weight.
2. Take off a plastic cap of the coil (if it is provided).
3. Turn off two bolts of fastening of the socket of the coil and connect ohmmeter probes.
4. Measure resistance between positive and negative conclusions of the coil. Compare result to standard value.
5. Measure resistance of a secondary winding, i.e. between a positive conclusion of the coil and a high-voltage conclusion. Compare result to standard value.
6. If resistance differ from standard, then replace the coil of ignition.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the battery from weight.
2. Remove the thermal screen from the coil.
3. Designate and disconnect from the wire coil.
4. Unscrew fastening screws (are shown by shooters) and remove the coil.
5. The coil is installed upside-down.
