11:11. Screen wiper electric motor

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

Before performance of check find an arrangement of the corresponding wires, using the scheme (see subsection 12.22). Keep in mind that the power wires (connected to the battery) have brighter coloring and bigger diameter than wires of connection with weight.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. At too reduced speed of brushes check a condition of the battery. If the battery is completely charged, then remove the screen wiper electric motor (see below) and check by hand freedom of movement of brushes. If necessary grease all hinged connections or repair. If this measure does not yield result, then check a condition of contacts, especially connections with weight. If all connections in the normal state, then the electric motor replace.
2. If the screen wiper does not work, then check a safety lock. If the safety lock is serviceable, then connect the electric motor to weight a separate crossing point. If the electric motor turns on, then repair connection with weight. Otherwise include a screen wiper and disconnect the electric motor socket. Check presence of tension on the electric motor. If tension is, then check the electric motor, having connected it to the battery through a thin delay. If the electric motor turns on, then check freedom of movement of draft. Otherwise replace the electric motor. In the absence of tension on the electric motor check tension on the switch. If there is no tension on the switch, then check conducting from a safety lock to the switch. If conducting is correct, then the switch is faulty.
3. If brushes work only at one speed, then check conducting. If conducting is correct replace the switch.
4. If the frequency of work of brushes is not regulated, then check conducting between the electric motor and the switch. If conducting is correct, then replace the regulator module.
5. If brushes do not come back to the parked situation at switching off, then check tension on the electric motor at the included ignition and the switched-off cleaner. If tension is available, then the trailer switch in the electric motor is faulty. Replace the electric motor. If there is no tension, then check and repair conducting between a safety lock and the electric motor.
6. If brushes continue to work until ignition is switched off, then disconnect the socket from the switch. If brushes stop, then replace the switch. Otherwise the trailer switch in the electric motor is faulty. Replace the electric motor.
7. If brushes come into the area below a cowl edge, then check a condition of drafts and all mechanism of a cleaner. If the mechanism is serviceable, then check conducting between the electric motor and the switch. If conducting is correct, then replace the electric motor.
8. If results these checks negative, then the electric motor replace.

Replacement

REPLACEMENT OF THE ELECTRIC MOTOR OF THE FORWARD SCREEN WIPER

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Turn off fastening bolts (are specified by shooters) and raise the screen wiper electric motor.
2. Turn off a shaft nut from the electric motor back.
3. Disconnect the socket and get the electric motor.
4. Installation is carried out upside-down.

REPLACEMENT OF THE ELECTRIC MOTOR OF THE BACK SCREEN WIPER

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Uncover the hatch and turn off a nut of fastening of the lever of a brush. Remove the lever from a shaft.
2. Turn off a shaft nut.
3. Open a back cover and remove the internal handle, an overlay of the lower door and a cover of the hatch.
4. Disconnect the electric motor socket.
5. Turn off fastening bolts (are specified by shooters) the electric motor of a back screen wiper and remove the electric motor assembled with drafts.
6. Installation is carried out upside-down.
