5.2.3.1. Check of the regulator of pressure of fuel

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect and muffle a vacuum hose of the regulator of pressure of fuel. Connect the manual vacuum pump to the regulator. Start the engine and consider the indication of pressure of fuel without depression on the regulator. Create depression in the regulator and again consider fuel pressure. With growth of depression on the regulator pressure of fuel has to decrease. Compare indications with specified in subsection 5.2.1.
2. Attach a vacuum hose to the regulator and check fuel pressure idling, Compare indications to standard.
3. Disconnect a hose and again consider pressure, – as soon as the hose is disconnected pressure has to increase jump up to the top standard limit. If fuel pressure idling at the disconnected hose too high, then measure by the vacuum gage depression size on a vacuum hose. If the vacuum gage shows nothing, then check tightness of the soaking-up collector and leveling camera.
4. On early models the vacuum valve of the regulator works from the contact sensor of temperature, on later is run by the processor block. Check of the vacuum valve is carried out in car service.
5. If fuel pressure too low, then press the return hose. If pressure does not increase, then the pump is faulty or the fuel highway is littered. If pressure sharply increases, then replace pressure regulator.
6. If fuel pressure too high, then execute actions for a system decompression, disconnect the return fuel pipe and blow it. If the return fuel pipe is not littered, then replace the regulator of pressure.
7. If the behavior of pressure differs from described in item 2, then replace pressure regulator.
8. Carefully remove the manometer.
9. Wrap the fuel distributor union, previously having replaced laying.
10. Wipe the spilled gasoline.
11. Start the engine and check existence of a leak of gasoline.
