3.4.4.1. Check of system of ignition

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

The system of ignition develops very high voltage therefore, when working it is necessary to follow rules of electrical safety.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If the engine is not started, and the starter turns the crankshaft, then disconnect high-voltage wires from candles and connect to them the calibrated rated sportsman, or disconnect a wire from one of candles, take away the isolating tip and record a wire at distance about 6 mm from the bared site of weight.
2. Turn the crankshaft a starter and you watch a rated sportsman or a wire of a candle. There has to be an intensive spark of blue color.
3. If the spark is available, then on candles necessary tension moves (check other wires to be convinced of serviceability of a cover of the distributor and runner). Turn out candles and check.
4. If the spark is absent, or sparking unstable, then uncover the distributor and check a condition of a cover and the runner. At detection of moisture wipe dry a cover and the runner, establish a cover into place and repeat check.
5. If there are still no sparks, then disconnect a high-voltage wire of the coil of ignition from a distributor cover and connect a wire to a test rated sportsman or record a coil wire at distance about 6 mm from weight.
6. If the spark appeared, then malfunction of a cover of the distributor, runner or wires can be the cause.
7. In the absence of a spark check all conducting of primary chain of the coil of ignition, be convinced of purity and reliability of connections. Check whether tension on the coil from the ignition lock arrives. Check the ignition coil (see subsection 3.4.5) and the induction sensor of the distributor (see subsection 3.4.8). Execute necessary repair and repeat test.
8. If the spark is still absent, then replace the wire connecting the coil of ignition and a cover of the distributor (check resistance of a wire and compare to standard). If replacement of a wire by obviously serviceable does not yield result, then the electronic block of ignition is faulty.
9. Check whether tension from the battery on the electronic block at inclusion of ignition moves. If tension is absent, then replace the electronic block.
